The He Tangata Koti brings together two powerful symbols of Te Ao Māori - the taiaha and the poi. The taiaha is a weapon of strentgh that has been used by our tūpuna and will continue to be used by our mokopuna - It represents protection, resilience & the mana our tāne hold in Te Ao Māori. The poi represents the grace and mana our wāhine hold through storytelling, connection and aroha

Together they represent the balance between masculine and feminine energy within Te Ao Māori, the strength that is found with in kotahitanga. When we honour and respect eachother and our whakapapa we thrive.
