Design Kōrero:

Back of tee: The back of the tee is a printed design which features a Wharenui with the words “My language, My art, My Traditions, He Māori!” Inside it. The Wharenui was chosen to feature on this piece because it represents a home that is for your tamariki, it is for you and it was for your tupuna. It is the centre of their Marae and will always be their taurangawaewae.

This design serves as a reminder that Māori tikanga or practices that our tūpuna created will forever live on through us & our tamariki.

Front of tee: We chose to keep it simple on the front and embroider “He Māori Ahau” a statement, that will be true forever and to serve as a reminder that being Māori is a taonga.
