The back of the poraka features beautiful silver embroidered mahi toi of te whetū o Matariki. Each whetū has been framed within a simple tāniko pattern, Bringing our toi in perfectly. 

As Matariki rises again we are reminded to remember those who came before us, celebrate the present and look forward to our future. This poraka has been made to carry that kaupapa.
