The timeline crew; Our most powerful piece to date. 

While researching this piece, we went on a haerenga of learning the history of our tūpuna and we realised how little Māori achievements pre 1840 are acknowledged. So this piece has been designed to recognise just some of those achievements, because our story didn’t start with a signature. It began generations earlier; through pūrākau, mātauranga and achievement. We wanted to honour just some of those and how they have shaped us today as Tangata Whenua.

To have this poraka reach new audiences is to have our mātauranga and whakapapa as Māori reach new audiences and hopefully educate them about our story before the ink dried.
